CVE-2024-56185

Information disclosure via missing bounds check

Published Mar 10, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Android's Exynos RIL allows local users to disclose information after compromising baseband firmware. ProtocolUnsolOnSSAdapter::GetServiceClass() in protocolcalladapter.cpp reads beyond a buffer because it omits a required bounds check before accessing memory. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the baseband firmware and no user interaction; the reported consequence is local information disclosure.
