CVE-2024-56143Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Private-field disclosure via exposed lookup parameter

Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025

Authorization bypass in Strapi 5.0.0 through 5.5.1 allows remote attackers to infer private fields through crafted lookup queries. The document-service repository accepts the internal lookup parameter from public requests and applies it to related private fields without sanitization. Unauthenticated access to a content-list endpoint and suitable records permits response-based probing of admin password hashes and reset tokens, enabling account compromise.
