Script execution via reflected unsanitized input
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in maartenhemmes Image Mapper 0.2.5.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a victim's browser. The plugin reflects request-controlled input into generated pages without sufficient sanitization or output escaping; public sources do not identify the parameter, endpoint, or function. Exploitation requires no authentication but requires a user to follow a crafted link, after which injected script runs in the site's browser context and can alter displayed content or access session data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
