Privilege escalation via forged authenticated requests
Published Dec 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in lizeipe Flash News / Post (Responsive) 4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to escalate privileges. Neither the CNA record nor Patchstack identifies the affected handler or explains which state-changing request lacks origin or nonce validation. Exploitation depends on a privileged WordPress user’s authenticated browser sending an attacker-controlled request, allowing actions with that user’s privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
