Workspace datasource disclosure via insufficient viewer authorization
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Appsmith before 1.51 allows remote authenticated users with the App Viewer role to list workspace datasources. The datasource-list operation returns workspace development metadata without enforcing the viewer role's intended restriction. Exploitation requires a workspace invitation and successful signup or login; the disclosed list excludes database passwords and API keys.
