Authenticated code execution via JDBC host injection
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 18, 2024
Improper input validation in DataEase before 1.18.27 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a Redshift data-source check. RedshiftConfiguration.getJdbc interpolates the host value into a JDBC URL without filtering, allowing socketFactory parameters to instantiate a remote Spring XML application context. Access to the authenticated datasource validation endpoint is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands in the DataEase server process.
