CVE-2024-55897Network attack vector

Session-cookie disclosure via missing Secure attribute

Published Jan 3, 2025 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Sensitive-cookie exposure in IBM PowerHA SystemMirror 7.4 and 7.5 allows remote attackers to obtain session cookies via HTTP. The PowerHA Web Interface issues authorization tokens or session cookies without the Secure attribute, so browsers send them over unencrypted HTTP links. A user must encounter an attacker-controlled HTTP link while the attacker can snoop the resulting traffic; the reported consequence is cookie disclosure.
