Host-data disclosure via external entity resolution
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Dec 13, 2024
XXE in UcumEssenceService in HL7 FHIR Foundation Ucum-java before 1.0.9 allows remote attackers to read host data via crafted XML. UcumEssenceService processes attacker-controlled DTD external-entity references, causing referenced host data to be included in its XML output. Exposure requires a host application that instantiates the library with XML submitted by external clients; the reported consequence is host-data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
