Cross-user script execution via unsanitized customization values
Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
Stored XSS in My WP Customize Admin/Frontend before 1.24.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in other users' browsers. The administrative customization path stores values that are later rendered to other users, but published sources do not identify the affected fields or output sinks. Exploitation requires a malicious administrative user to save crafted content and another user to access the customized page; the bounded consequence is script execution in that user's browser.
