Authenticated code execution via inherited-property template access
Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Server-side template injection in PwnDoc before 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through crafted DOCX templates. The select custom filter reads attacker-chosen inherited properties from array elements, exposing constructor chains that reach JavaScript Function. Template creation or update requires the admin role by default; rendering the malicious template through an audit runs code in the backend context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
