CVE-2024-55637

Code execution via unsafe deserialization gadget chain

Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2024

Object injection in Drupal core 8.0.0 through 10.2.10, 10.3.0 through 10.3.8, and 11.0.0 through 11.0.7 gives attackers a code-execution gadget chain. The vendor identifies a chain of methods that becomes a PHP object-injection gadget when an application passes attacker-controlled data to unserialize(), but does not disclose the methods. The chain presents no direct threat alone; code execution requires a separate flaw that exposes unsafe deserialization, and Drupal reports no such known flaw in core.
