Stored XSS via unescaped subscription success message
Published Sep 9, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024
Stored XSS in Code Atlantic Popup Maker before 1.19.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a saved subscription setting. The Subscriptions Success Message accepts and stores HTML event-handler content without sanitizing or escaping it, then renders that content after a visitor submits the form. Administrator access is required even when unfiltered_html is denied, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in the submitting visitor's browser.
