Stack overflow in Suricata before 7.0.8 allows remote attackers to crash the engine via oversized input to affected rule transforms. Ten named transforms process a large file.data sticky buffer without enforcing a safe input-length bound, overflowing the stack. Exposure requires a loaded rule that applies one of these transforms to file.data; exploitation interrupts inspection by terminating Suricata.
