CVE-2024-55604Network attack vector

Workspace datasource disclosure via missing viewer authorization

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Broken access control in Appsmith before 1.51 allows remote authenticated users with the App Viewer role to list workspace datasources. Published materials do not identify the endpoint or failed authorization check; they establish that the datasource-listing path returns development metadata to viewers. Access requires a valid account invited to the workspace as a viewer, and the response excludes stored database passwords, API keys, and underlying datasource records.
