Authenticated code execution via crafted CLI commands
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025
OS command injection in Fortinet FortiIsolator 2.4.0 through 2.4.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute unauthorized code via CLI. Multiple CLI command handlers process specially crafted command input without neutralizing shell metacharacters; Fortinet has not disclosed the affected commands or functions. Access requires at least read-only administrator permission and CLI access, but successful injection runs code beyond that role's authorized capabilities.
