CVE-2024-5559

Takeover or reboot via crafted reset token

Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Broken cryptography in Schneider Electric PowerLogic P5 01.500.104 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to take control or reboot it. The relay accepts a specially crafted reset token entered at its front panel because reset-token validation uses a risky cryptographic algorithm. Physical front-panel access is required; successful use grants full relay control or causes a reboot or denial of service.
