Secret exposure via unfiltered settings audit logging
Published Dec 9, 2024 · Updated Dec 12, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in Zammad before 6.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to write stored secrets into application logs. Database-backed setting changes and resets wrote complete values to audit logs without filtering tokens, passwords, or application secrets. Exploitation requires authenticated network access and a settings change or reset; exposure is limited to credentials retained in logs, backups, or downstream log systems.
