CVE-2024-55551Network attack vector

Remote code execution via JDBC URL JNDI injection

Published Mar 19, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

JNDI injection in Exasol JDBC Driver before 24.2.1 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted JDBC connection URL. The URL parser accepts attacker-controlled kerberosgssconfig values and passes them into JAAS/JNDI processing instead of preserving that configuration as trusted-only data. Execution requires an application or user to initiate a connection with the crafted URL, after which code runs in the consuming JVM.
