Arbitrary code execution via unchecked theme upload
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Code injection in Z-BlogPHP 1.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted ZBA theme archive. The administrative theme uploader accepts embedded PHP without code inspection and generates files beneath the theme template directory. Administrative access is required; the resulting PHP web shell runs with the web server's privileges and can compromise the host.
