Service interruption via inefficient email validation regex
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Regular expression denial of service in Kubeflow Community Distribution 1.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The centraldashboard-angular backend applies a computationally inefficient email-validation regular expression to attacker-controlled input, causing excessive CPU consumption. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted email value can exhaust backend resources and disrupt the central dashboard.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
