Arbitrary file disclosure via unsanitized project name
Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in Devika's /api/download-project endpoint allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through crafted requests. The download_project function passes the unvalidated project_name query value into project archive and path construction, letting traversal segments escape the projects directory. The endpoint requires no authentication, and exploitation exposes readable files without permitting modification or service interruption.
