Authenticated code execution via backup file rewriting
Published Dec 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 31, 2024
PHP code injection in SeaCMS 13.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the database backup interface. Ebak_RepPathFiletext() accepts attacker-controlled replacement text and passes rewritten backup-file contents to WriteFiletext_n without neutralizing executable PHP. Exploitation requires an authenticated backend session and an existing database backup, after which injected PHP runs with the web server's privileges.
