Arbitrary file disclosure via unchecked download path
Published Feb 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 20, 2025
Path traversal in MasterSAM Star Gate 11 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the downloadService endpoint. The unauthenticated Troubleshooting Download Log API passes the file parameter without path validation, so traversal sequences escape the intended log location. Network access to the API is sufficient; no authentication or user interaction is required, and successful requests disclose sensitive file contents.
