JavaScript execution via unsanitized deletion message
Published Jan 30, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in DevDojo Voyager 1.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted /admin/compass link. The Compass delete action concatenates the base64-decoded del parameter into a success message, and the shared notification code appends that message to the DOM without sanitization. An authenticated administrator must click the crafted link; the injected script then runs in that administrator’s browser context and can perform Voyager actions with the same privileges.
