Unauthenticated code execution via malicious ZIP restoration
Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Wallos 2.38.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through database restoration. The restore database handler extracts attacker-controlled ZIP entries on the server without restricting files placed in web-accessible paths. No authentication or user interaction is required; execution follows when an uploaded web shell is requested.
