CVE-2024-55354

Sandbox escape via disguised precompiled CFML bytecode

Published Apr 8, 2025 · Updated Apr 14, 2025

Sandbox bypass in Lucee Server before 5.4.7.3 LTS and 6 before 6.1.1.118 allows local users to execute restricted code. The compiler accepts precompiled Java bytecode renamed with a .cfm or .cfc extension and executes it without applying normal CFML restrictions. Exploitation requires server-side file placement and principally threatens shared-hosting tenants by exposing code and resources outside their web-context restrictions.
