Stored XSS via unencoded tooltip title
Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Dolibarr 21.0.0-beta allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser via a product title. The Product module stores restricted-HTML input, and getNomURL inserts the resulting description into a tooltip title attribute without attribute-safe encoding. The hidden MAIN_RESTRICTHTML_ONLY_VALID_HTML_TIDY option must be enabled, and a victim must hover over the product reference; the script then acts with the victim's session privileges.
