Data exposure and modification via REST SQL injection
Published Jun 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in bPlugins HTML5 Video Player before 2.5.27 allows remote attackers to infer or alter database data through a REST request. The /h5vp/v1/video/1 REST route places the id parameter into an SQL statement without sanitization, escaping, or adequate query preparation. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted conditional delay expressions expose a time-based oracle and injected SQL can affect database confidentiality and integrity.
