Administrator takeover via unauthenticated password overwrite
Published Feb 7, 2025 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
Authentication bypass in Jrohy trojan 2.0.0 through 2.15.3 allows remote attackers to overwrite the administrator password. The /auth/register route remains active after initialization, and updateUser passes an unauthenticated password value to SetValue for the admin_pass database key. Network access to the web management interface is sufficient to replace the administrator credential and obtain administrative control.
