Authenticated data disclosure via missing route authorization
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
Broken access control in Grocy 4.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read calendar and recipe data through direct requests. Permission checks hide restricted functions in the sidebar but do not enforce authorization when their page URLs or API endpoints are requested directly. Any signed-in account, including a user with no assigned permissions, can view protected application data but cannot modify it.
