Account access via weak registration passwords
Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
Insufficient password requirements in Phpgurukul Online Birth Certificate System 1.0 allow attackers to access user accounts. The /user/register.php workflow accepts 12345678 as a registration password, demonstrating that it permits a weak numeric credential. The public proof of concept requires an authenticated session and demonstrates weak account registration, but it does not demonstrate takeover of another user's account.
