Authenticated script execution via reminder template injection
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in MonicaHQ 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through reminder fields. The reminder creation endpoint stores title and description values and later evaluates crafted template expressions as browser-side code instead of inert text. An authenticated account and access to create a contact reminder are required; successful injection runs script in the browser context that renders the stored reminder.
