Stored XSS via relationship name template injection
Published Jan 10, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in MonicaHQ Monica 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser-side code through relationship names. The relationship form stores first_name and last_name values without neutralizing client-side template expressions, allowing a crafted expression to invoke the JavaScript Function constructor when rendered. An authenticated account can persist the payload in a relationship record; rendering it executes code in the application origin and exposes or modifies browser-accessible data.
