Stored XSS via unsanitized contact names
Published Feb 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Stored XSS in Monica 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser through a crafted contact. Contact name fields accept script markup, and the relationship customization renders a selected contact's name on the contact page without neutralizing the markup. An attacker must create the contact and relationship, and a victim must view the resulting contact page.
