CVE-2024-54916Public exploit

Physical-access authentication bypass via forced passcode success

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Authentication bypass in Telegram Android APK 11.7.0 allows physically proximate attackers to access passcode-protected app data. A Frida hook replaces SharedConfig.checkPasscode so it returns true for every entered passcode instead of validating the stored hash. Exploitation requires physical control of the Android device and the ability to run Frida against the app, after which any passcode is accepted.
