CVE-2024-54840Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Open redirect via trusted Host header

Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Open redirect in CyberArk Privileged Access Manager Self-Hosted before 14.4 allows remote attackers to redirect users via a crafted Host header. PVWA builds a 301 Location URL from the unvalidated HTTP Host value, allowing an attacker-selected domain to replace the legitimate authority. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires user interaction; a crafted link can send the victim to a phishing site, with no direct availability impact.
