Stored script execution via unsanitized worksheet fields
Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
Stored XSS in SpagoBI 3.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in visitors’ browsers through worksheet designer forms. The create/edit workflow stores unsanitized custom text, filenames, and file information, then inserts that HTML into designer and saved-file pages. Worksheet-designer privileges are required, and exploitation occurs when another user visits an affected page, exposing cookies or enabling actions in that user's session.
