Administrative access via tokenless user-creation request
Published Jan 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025
CSRF in SpagoBI 3.5.1 user administration allows remote attackers to create, edit, or delete users through an administrator's browser. AdapterHTTP accepts a state-changing MANAGE_USER_ACTION GET request without validating an anti-CSRF token or the request's origin. An administrator must be logged in and visit attacker-controlled content; creating a user gives the attacker chosen credentials for later access.
