Authenticated script execution via unsanitized administrative fields
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 28, 2024
Stored XSS in Dcat-Admin 2.2.0-beta and 2.2.2-beta allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The menu title and extension name fields store submitted script markup and render it without neutralization when the resulting item is viewed. Administrative access is required to plant a payload, and interaction with the crafted item triggers script execution in the viewer's browser.
