Stored script execution via unneutralized article titles
Published Dec 27, 2024 · Updated Dec 28, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Dcat Admin 2.2.0-beta allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through article titles. The article creation handler stores a title containing script markup and later renders that title without neutralizing executable content when an article is opened. High-privilege access is required to submit the title, and another user must open the stored article; execution is confined to that user's browser context.
