Denial of service in Flatnotes before 5.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the web service via image upload. The /api/attachments endpoint accepts and processes a large malformed multipart image body with attacker-controlled trailing data, exhausting server resources. A valid Flatnotes login and upload access are required; successful exploitation makes the web interface and other API endpoints unavailable.
