Stored XSS via unescaped workflow template fields
Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Stored XSS in MISP 2.4 through 2.4.200 and 2.5 through 2.5.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in an editor user's browser. The ad-hoc workflow editor's doT templates insert node identifiers, module metadata, errors, and connection labels into HTML using raw interpolation instead of encoded output. A user must open the stored, attacker-crafted workflow in the editor, where the injected script executes within that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
