Access-control bypass via client-rule socksmethod handling

Incorrect authorization in Dante server 1.4.0 through 1.4.3 allows remote attackers to bypass configured client access controls. When socksmethod is set inside a client or hostid rule, the server can permit a client that those rules and ACLs should block. Exposure requires this rarely used placement and subsequent socks rules that do not independently block the client, enabling unauthorized proxy access.
