CVE-2024-5461

Root command execution via SNMP script injection

Published Feb 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 9, 2025

OS command injection in Brocade Fabric OS before 8.2.3e1_pha allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands through SNMP. The SNMP binary passes attacker-controlled parameters from model-specific SNMP operations to system.sh without neutralizing command syntax. An SNMP user account and access to the adjacent management network are required, and only Brocade 6547 (FC5022) embedded switches expose the affected operations.
