Local protected user data disclosure via Dock checks
Published Jan 27, 2025 · Updated May 21, 2026
Information disclosure in Dock in Apple macOS allows local users to access protected user data through a locally run app. Apple has disclosed only that Dock applied insufficient checks; no public source identifies the checked object, API, or data path. Successful exploitation requires local execution on macOS Ventura before 13.7.2, Sonoma before 14.7.2, or Sequoia before 15.2, and provides read access to protected user data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
