Privilege escalation in SharedFileList in Apple macOS before 15.2 allows a malicious app to gain root privileges through local execution. Apple has not disclosed which SharedFileList operation applied insufficient restrictions to attacker-controlled input. Execution of a malicious app by a local user is required; successful exploitation grants root privileges across the host.
