Stored XSS via unescaped widget URL attribute
Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Dream-Theme The7 11.13.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget URL attributes. The Icon and Heading widgets insufficiently sanitize the url attribute and render its value without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes when a user opens the affected page, enabling actions in that user's browser context.
