An out-of-bounds write in ASP TCP in Apple macOS allows local users to crash the system or write kernel memory through a local app. ASP TCP accepts app-controlled input without sufficient bounds validation, allowing an out-of-range write into kernel memory. Execution of a local app is required; the bounded consequences are unexpected system termination or modification of kernel memory.
