Persistent ringing via inconsistent mute state
Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
UI inconsistency in Audio in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 18.2 allows ringing calls to remain audible after a mute action. The ringing-call mute control can diverge from the underlying Audio state because state management does not consistently enable mute. The condition requires a user to invoke mute while a call is ringing; the bounded consequence is continued ringing rather than data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
