CVE-2024-54484

Sensitive data disclosure via unsanitized MediaRemote logging

Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Information disclosure in MediaRemote in Apple macOS before 15.2 allows local users to access user-sensitive data through system logs. MediaRemote writes sensitive information to logging output without adequate sanitization, leaving the recorded data available to a local application. Exploitation requires a local application to reach the affected logging path; the reported consequence is limited to confidentiality.
